Man Animal

^ B.D. NR. 1828 Divine order. Sin.

Every work of creation except man is in divine order because it stands in bound will, i.e. has to do all that what divine will is and also agrees with the laws, which God gave from eternity. Only man is able to overturn these laws, i.e., to offend against these laws because his will is free and this can also be used in a way, which contradicts divine will, divine order.

^ B.D. NR. 2234 Struggle for existence. Struggle in the pre-stages. Struggle as man.

In every stage of development before the embodiment as man, the being must pass this struggle; it must make a stand, because it will always be besieged in a way which results in the development of its power. And it will always defeat the weaker, and this is allowed by God’s wisdom, because in this way new possibilities of upward development are again created. Therefore it is also wanted by God that the weaker succumbs in this struggle because every creature only develops upward and never reaches that degree of maturity on earth, which would make a new shaping unnecessary. Therefore the being will stand so long in the struggle with the stronger until it turns into its last shaping as man. But then its struggle is no longer a pure external one, i.e., one man is not allowed to destroy or defeat the other by virtue of his strength, so that in the end only the strong on earth could assert itself, but the strong has to use its strength in another way – it must support the weak; the strong must help to defeat resistances so that it serves the weak.

^ B.D. NR. 2261 Renewed course through creation. Solid form.

And God knows about its will and that is why he has embodied it into those outer forms, which correspond with its rebellious nature.

^ B.D. NR. 2352 The power of evil does not refer to creations.

No spiritual forces, which are under the influence of evil powers, can express themselves as long as the spiritual is still in bound will, because the counter force of God is powerless with regard to these beings. It can put itself to the test on the soul of man only, therefore on that spiritual, which stands in the stage of free will, and also does it in a most substantial way.

^ B.D. NR. 3142 Law giver. Divine order.

The latter is for the phase where the being is embodied as man, because in the previous phases the being can do no other way in creation than to keep up this order, because it is in the mandatory state, in a state, where its will is bound and the being is directed by the will of God, therefore must fulfil divine law.

^ B.D. NR. 3938 Fate. Free will.

And in the stage as man this steering of God is indeed the fate, the course of life, which is rich of uncountable events, which offer man the opportunity to approach God. In the pre-stages God himself determines the lifespan as also the activity of the being, and the being itself can change nothing of it or resist the will of God. It finds itself in the state of bound will and must subordinate itself to the divine law of nature, but in this way also reducing the distance from God, until it has come closer to him so far, that it, in the state of free will as man, must now use it for the approach towards God. As man his will is therefore free, but his fate of life is prescribed to him from eternity, because God wants to offer him the greatest possibilities for reaching the destination, to the approach towards God.

^ B.D. NR. 4013 Will of entity in mandatory state.

But also then it is not able to use its will properly; it is still determined to activity by my will, i.e., the being cannot otherwise than to use the power according to the law of order, which it gets from me for the purpose of ascent development, until it comes into the last stage of its development on earth, until it embodies itself as man and now the free will is again given back to it, which it has once possessed, but has abused.

^ B.D. NR. 4369 New Earth. Creations. Paradise.

The forming of the spiritual can happen faster on the new earth because men are already in a state of maturity so that also the spiritual that is bound in the animal and plant world submits to them voluntarily. It feels the love of men and therefore gives up the resistance much easier, it serves them even if under mandatory law still voluntarily and therefore proceeds quicker upwards as well.

^ B.D. NR. 4759 Vegetarian food? Killing of animals.

A difference must be made between an act, which merely aims at destruction out of evil will, and such a one, which is to fulfil a purpose appearing good to man. Further a difference has to be made of man and animal insofar as that man is never allowed to take the life of another man, because on earth there is no further embodiment anymore for him, because earth life means the last station for the maturation of the spiritual, while the spiritual in the animal has not yet reached the last form, therefore a transition into a new form in the bound state or into man is the result of the killing and can therefore be called a progress. Further the fact is decisive, in which way the life of the animal is taken. It must be an act of love insofar, as that the animal is spared pain and agony, because the divine creature must always be seen in it, which possesses my love and therefore already for that reason must be treated with care, so that the spiritual in it feels love on the part of men and is prepared to sacrifice its life for the well-being of men. Since it now serves men in truth, it fulfils its earth task and wins a higher degree of maturity, which secures it the embodiment as man or also a higher level of development in another living being. The killing of an animal out of devilment is a sin, because it prematurely cuts short a stage of development. But the same act can never be seen as sin, when its motive is a help for fellowman. How far now this help is in accordance with my will, is also to be explained.

^ B.D. NR. 5258 Harmony on the New Earth.

That is why the new creation will be an exceedingly peaceful world that gives pleasure to men and animals alike, that is in fullest harmony with the divine principle and every work of creation will praise and extol God in its beauty and practicality that men find exceedingly beneficent.

Because they are in union with God and their essence is therefore so radiant with love that they only can be good all the time, what is also felt by what is underneath them, the animal world and the plant kingdom, and the whole sphere of love is suitable for rapid upward development.

^ B.D. NR. 7520 New Earth. Romans 8.

No work of creation on this earth will escape the great upheaval; it will affect everything, beginning with hard matter, the plant and the animal kingdom up until men. Everything will fall victim to a work of destruction, of which the extent surpasses everything, which already has taken place on earth.

^ B.D. NR. 7966 Paradisiacal State on New Earth.

The paradise of earth marks the beginning of a new time because the spiritual and earthly turning point has been carried out. And it will be a time of peace where there is no hostility, neither with men nor with the animal world.

^ B.D. NR. 8429 Harmonious Life on New Earth.

And also the animal world will peacefully live side by side; no fight between creatures will take place because also their soul substances are just before their embodiment as man, and all spiritual bound in creation feels the harmony around it, and its resistance also obviously changes, which is apparent from the willingly serving of all creation works because also this spiritual wants to come quickly to the last course on this earth.

^ B.D. NR. 8702 Langsame Slow upward development of the beings in creation.

And so the process of ascent development through the world of rocks, plants and animals, as far as up to man, has also been explained to you, that the outer forms released the spiritual in it all the time and this gathered to again take up residence in a greater form and to carry on serving until all particles belonging to a fallen original spirit have gathered and can now be embodied as soul in man. But as it happens in the animal world, that small and smallest beings move into a greater outer form through union with the spiritual standing in the same degree of development after their cessation, so also the process of development took place further, and new forms were created again and again through my love and wisdom, which could accommodate the destined spiritual. Now in nature you see this as development of a small living being to a greater and greater.

And no matter how clever animals you seek to train to independent thinking and wanting to be free, you will never succeed in this because the abilities man possesses lie hidden in no animal, because man is the only being in creation, which possesses intelligence, the powers of reason and free will – but which can never be achieved by slow training, which are also no characteristic features of a slow ascent development of a being but only prove that man is a work of creation on his own, called into life through my will and my power to fulfil an assignment.

^ B.D. NR. 9012 The miracle work of divine creation.

Because that is the actual purpose of creation that man – who is equipped with intellect and free will - deals with it in detail in thoughts, that everything what he sees makes him think – for I have given him the ability to think not for nothing – because exactly the direction of thoughts can also determine him to the right direction of his will, which alone is decisive for both his earth life as well as his further lot. Because that man is basically immortal, that he will then also recognize, because he learns to see himself as centre of the whole of creation, which serves him for perfection. Because he is the only thinking being, which has free will, while all creations – also the animal world – can neither think nor want, only has a weak approximation to it as natural drive, of which the being is not aware.

^ B.D. NR. 9015 Pre-Adamites

So these pre-men – the Pre-Adamites – could therefore not be considered as proper men, because their nature, their appearance and everything they do corresponded more to an animal, which is still far behind in its development, only the form was like that of a man, and so it happened that later these creatures were called pre-men, but which could not stand a comparison with man, who was in possession of free will and understanding, which he was now to also use properly intellectually.

The Pre-Adamites were those human-like beings, which could not be called to account because they led an animal life, where all instincts revealed themselves – who lived long before man on earth – who had no I-consciousness and could only live in groups – who were therefore only there found where later men were once to stay, for whom they prepared the actual area through a regular activity.

They were certainly comparable with them in their outer form; but they dwelled like animals – both in their drives as well as in their way of reproduction, which developed according to the substance of their souls, and also belonged to the many works of creation, which again disappeared, when they had fulfilled their earth assignment, therefore the beings no longer needed such creations, and which now completely died out like so many creations, which earth held for a time to then make again space for new creations.

^ B.D. NR. 9016 Time estimation not possible for men.

They knew it that they could exchange ideas and that it was possible for every created man to exchange ideas with fellow men. Moreover such pre-beings were unknown to them, as they also did not know all pre-creations, which they themselves had to pass through, until they were allowed to embody themselves as man.

^ B.D. NR. 9022 Early men?

And the entire act of creation has required such long time that men can raise no time determination anymore, that only the one thing cannot be denied that everything has developed beginning with matter, through the stone and plant world – through the animal kingdom to man, but that I again and again have also created a new outer form for the further developed little soul particles. But that again and again the expression "they have developed to the next being" only concerns the development of the soul, but every outer form was a new creation and always then passes when it has completely fulfilled its purpose

^ B.D. NR. 9023 Early men?

But with increasing maturity of the substances of the soul also again and again new outer forms emerged, which were only brought to an end with creation-work "man", but he had now to fulfil the last task on earth: to spiritualize himself, to change to that creature, which he was from early beginning – to then being able to bring the walk on earth to an end and to again return to me, from where he had started.

^ Now Jakob Lorber:

^ jl.ev08.029,05

The soul of a human being is in its body only separated by a very thin wall that is in no way connected with the universal life’s intelligence.

And in its natural condition this is sufficient for it to have mostly no idea of what is and what happens close by, as if it were behind its back. And it does not even understand 1000 times a 1000th part of what is happening before its eyes.

All this is because of the very thin separating wall mentioned before, that exists between its particular and the universal endless spatial life.

If this separating wall would be very impenetrable and extensive, what would such an enormously isolated soul still know of what is existing around it on all sides?

^ jl.ev08.029,08+09

[8] Souls of animals and plants however are not severely separated from the universal godly life in space and are therefore capable, by their inner feeling to do that for which they are destined according to their capacity and arrangement. Every animal knows the food that is good for him and knows where to find it. He has his weapons and knows how to use them without any practice.

[9] So also, the spirit of the plants knows exactly that element in the water, in the air and in the earth that is beneficent for its specific individuality. The spirit of the nature soul of the oak will at no time draw the elements to itself that the cedar needs for its existence. Indeed, who tells a plant to draw only that element that is intended for it? Look, all this is the work of the highest and universal life’s intelligence of space. From this, every plant and animal soul draws a special necessary intelligence and is further active according to its instructions.

^ jl.ev10.022

(Jesus:) »But that a man’s soul and accordingly even its body, which is highly clumsy in the beginning, are joined together like this, can the deeper thinking and feeling man be capable of suspecting in at least not too unclear lines from very many phenomena in him.

Take the host of the most various concepts and ideas which a soul with only some education can develop out of itself and of which all it also can form a picture – whether more or less right is for the time being unimportant -, which would be just as little possible for it, when it would not be as it were put together out of something all-embracing, as for an ox or donkey to draw the plan for the building of a royal castle and to build it accordingly.

But when you look at all the different animals both in the air – like all kinds of insects and birds -, and the animals on the firm ground and those in the water, then you will discover with most of them an ability to build. Look at the bees and other little animals of the air, which are more or less similar to this insect; see and look at the highly differently built nests of the birds; look at the ants and still other earth insects, the spider and the caterpillar, further the mice of all kinds and species, the beaver, which builds himself a real hut, the foxes, wolves, bears and still a lot of other animals, how they build and furnish their lodgings quite suitable for their nature; further look at the different animals of the oceans, especially the crustaceans, - and you will find with them an ability to build, which will often set the best master builder into great astonishment.

Now every animal, from the smallest to the greatest, has of course only an ability to build, which is peculiar to its simple animal soul intelligence, knows the building material for it and uses it in its always uniform way; but in the soul of a man all the animal building intelligence abilities are available in an enormous number, out of which it also can, as through a silent realization, put together an enormous number of concepts and ideas and so very new and great forms.

And so man can therefore with only some education then also invent out of himself all kinds of homes to live in of highest diversity and innumerable many other things and also put it to work with his will, intelligence and diligence. Would he be able to do this when all the different kinds of abilities would not be available on the shown way there in his soul? Certainly not; because even the most intelligent animal after man does not have any imagination and therefore also no all-embracing gift of composition.

You now of course say for yourselves: ‘Yes, why then did a man’s soul have to gain such abilities via such a long and tedious way?’

And I say it to you: The eternally best and wisest master builder of all things and beings knows best of all why he has established on this earth exactly this way for the formation of a perfect soul of man, and with it you can be happy according to my word. When you will become more perfect in yourself then you will also realize the reason for your long and tedious way.

You Romans, the Greeks and the Phoenicians, as also the Egyptians, believed in a transmigration of souls and still believe in it today like the Persians, Indians, the people of Sinim on the other side of the high mountains in the wide, great and far East and another one in the still farer East living great nation, living on great islands which are flowed around by the greatest ocean on this earth, and so still many other peoples on this wide earth; but throughout, the truth, well known to the ancestors of the earth, has been completely defaced and totally twisted through the greedy, initial teachers of the people, which arose with time, and later priests full of ambition and full of lust for power, - for the true kind of transmigration of souls would not have borne sacrifices and interest for them, and so they let the souls of men go back into the animals and suffer in the animals, from which sufferings only priest could free them for the sake of great sacrifices.«

^ Man:

His will is free.

His struggle is no longer a pure external one.

He must support the weak; the strong must help to defeat resistances so that it serves the weak.

The counter force of God can put itself to the test on the soul of man only, therefore on that spiritual, which stands in the stage of free will, and also does it in a most substantial way.

And in the stage as man this steering of God is indeed the fate, the course of life, which is rich of uncountable events, which offer man the opportunity to approach God.

Free will is again given back to him, which he has once possessed, but has abused.

Man - independent thinking and wanting to be free.

Man is the only being in creation, which possesses intelligence, the powers of reason and free will

Man is a work of creation on his own, called into life through God's will and God's power to fulfil an assignment.
